The youth coalition committee began in October 2003 with a 'kickoff'
event held at the Pinellas Park Boys & Girls Club with performances by the Source Teen Theater and Youth Arts Corps Bucket Brigade. The SAPC is always looking for youth memebers to be involved. Please contact the substance abuse prevention coalition for more information. |

| Teen Summit 2004 |
Alpha Kappa Alpha(Youth Development Initiatives), Alpha Phi Alpha(Alpha Institute), Clearwater Boys & Girls Club, and the SAPC teamed up to sponsor "Teens Uniting for Healthy Lifestyles" teen summit 2004. The event was held at Dunedin High School on September 18, 2004 featuring workshops on sexual responsibility, substance abuse character building, legal forum, teen pregnancy, nutrition, leadership, and empowerment.
Prizes were awarded for Healthy Lifestyles Step Off Extravaganza and poster and essay contests. |
